- Greeting clients, answering the telephone, and making follow-up calls
- Preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Preparing real estate forms and documents, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, and contracts
- Coordinating showings, assisting at open houses, and obtaining feedback
- Ordering supplies, preparing and distributing marketing materials, such as brochures, advertisements, and social media content
- Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems, managing client databases, and preparing reports
- Assisting with closing processes and performing basic bookkeeping tasks
- Resolving office-related issues and problems
- Performing other duties as assigned by the real estate agents or brokers
The requirements and skills for a real estate assistant may vary depending on the size, type, and needs of the organization. However, some of the general qualifications and abilities that a real estate assistant should have are:
- High school diploma or equivalent, degree educated preferred.
- Previous experience in the real estate industry or a similar role
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.
- Excellent organizational and team management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
